Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a community clip directory — a username, an email address, and your activity on the site. No passwords, no payment details, no advertising trackers.

1. What we collect

• Account: your username (public) and email address (never displayed publicly; visible only to the site administrator).
• Activity: clips you submit, like and report, so the site can function and moderators can review content.
• Technical: an anonymous visitor identifier stored in a cookie, used to count video views (one per visitor per day) and to meter free plays for signed-out visitors. Our hosting providers also keep standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and rate limiting.

2. What we don't collect

• No passwords — sign-in links are emailed to you instead.
• No payment information.
• No advertising cookies or ad-network trackers.

3. Cookies & analytics

We set two essential cookies: a session cookie when you sign in, and an anonymous visitor identifier (vv) for view counting and the free-play meter. We also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from); it sets its own cookies (e.g. _ga). We don't send Google your username or email, and we use the data only as anonymous, aggregate statistics.

4. Embedded players

Clips play through the official embedded players of YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, Dailymotion and Streamable. When you play a clip, that platform may set its own cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy, just as if you watched on their site. We don't control that.

5. Email

We email you sign-in links and status updates about clips you submitted (approved / not approved). We don't send marketing email and we never share or sell your address.

6. Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from settings — this permanently removes your account, your submissions and your likes. You can also email us to request deletion or a copy of your data.

7. Who processes your data

The site runs on Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, EU region) and Resend (email delivery), with Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time: hello@superheroines.net.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change; the date above reflects the latest revision.
